MES 200-330 is 40 kW rated high speed AC induction motor meant for a drive system in various types of electric vehicles. Requires MES TIM-600 power inverter.
Shaft option available in USA – special external smooth shaft designed by MMC with single keyway (shown above on the left), sized for standard QD taper lock bushing coupler (Dodge catalog p/n 117393). Involuted spline shaft option is also available (shown on the right).
The standard cast iron front flange style (left photo) allows motor attachment using mounting holes and centering ring located on the flange periphery. Rear motor support is preferred to reduce axial flange stress. Motors can be supplied with aluminum dust cover style front flange (right photo) meant for the shaft centering and to counter-react rotor torque. Motor weight support is mandatory. This style mostly used with integrated transaxle or gear boxes that have extended motor mounting brackets preventing radial and axial stress of aluminum front cover. This needs to be considered while ordering and using motors.
