The featured AC systems have been used in electric boats. Reduced noise and water pollution requirements demand alternative propulsion systems and EBs comply with these requirements. In the photos below example of the racing boat is shown. Many racing boat classes exist and the construction is not limited to use one motor only. Also, fuel cells as energy source have been attempted on the boats.
